About Greenwich Peninsula

Who are we?

The Peninsula is big, eclectic and original. A whole new swathe of London that brings together culture, community and design, all wrapped by the River Thames. There are village-y get-togethers, art all around, and the sense of a new place inventing itself before your eyes.

Everything that happens here is bold and interesting, just like our pioneering first settlers. Creativity is vital to a vibrant and diverse community, so we at Greenwich Peninsula are commissioning art, cultural festivals and embedding design in the public realm, making culture widely accessible.

NOW Gallery’s oversized Molly Goddard dresses hung from the ceiling as part of an ever-changing installation, and Conrad Shawcross RA designed the flue to our energy centre, which is both beguiling and dazzling.

Even our cranes aren’t quite what you’d expect –  designed by Morag Myerscough, they’re in every colour – and there are more popping up. On the Peninsula there’s always something new emerging. Find out what’s happening on our blog The Peninsulist. You can also find all the latest events here.
